Could we with ink the oceans fill
And were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry...

[the next big attraction: tom ford]

The second I saw Gwyneth Paltrow grace the red carpet during last night's Academy Awards, my jaw dropped. Who's with me? Utterly stunning and surprisingly refreshing for the Oscars.
Gwyneth is one of the first celebrities to debut Mr. Ford's very private Fall 2012 collection.
Accolades for his designs cannot be denied as he has wowed men and women alike with his exquisitely luxurious pieces.

While I knew of Mr. Ford's previous roles with Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, respectively, I was relatively unfamiliar with his personal designs.
His Spring collection draws much attention to the beauty of a woman's silhouette with tailored suits and plunging necklines while maintaining her girlish innocence. Sophistication, allure, vintage glamor, and shocking patterns characterize the collection.

When asked about his style, Ford replied: "I’ve streamlined things more this season. I think I’m very classic, because what I do is always based on something you’ve seen before. And yes, maybe there’s something YSL about it."

I personally love those pieces of his with more of the romantic glam-peasant blouses, rose hues, and soft elegance. The juxtaposition of feathers, snakeskin, and fur are an interesting twist on your stereotypical Spring fashion. I can't wait to see more of his amazing collections in the future!

We salute you, Tom Ford.
